Mossdale Rangers

After winning the Coventry Community Cohesion under 18’s Award in July 2011, the Mossdale Rangers have continued their positive citizenship work throughout Winter in their close in Radford.
After school and during the weekends they have been clearing away the leaves which they said was very slippery and dangerous for the elderly residents. Also litter picking rubbish that had blown onto the estate during the windy weather that swept the city recently.
In December they were invited to the Council House to see the Lord Mayor and have a look around his chambers. This was in appreciation for all the hard work they have continued to carry out in Mossdale Close.
While there the Lord Mayor read out a Thank you card from a very appreciative elderly resident of Mossdale Close.
Dear Mossdale Rangers.
I would like to thank you all for the hard work you have done keeping Mossdale close clean and tidy. Since the Mossdale Rangers were formed the close has changed dramatically.
A special thank you to George and Lochlan, two members of the group who recently spent a whole week end clearing and tidying my garden. I have found it very difficult to do gardening since my heart attack two years ago. I and was amazed at their determination and efforts.
I wish all the children well for the future and in everything they do.
Thank you once again
